I am an enthusiastic, highly qualified English teacher with seven years’ experience teaching in England and Hong Kong. I have taught a wide variety of students, from young people with English as a second language to those with behavioural problems or learning impairments. I am currently working in the Special Educational Needs (SEN) and EAL departments of a London secondary school. My role involves:
· Lesson planning
· Teaching English to small groups of EAL students
· Supporting students with SEN
· Running and planning literacy workshops that focus on reading and writing
· Setting individual learning targets and reviewing students’ progress on a regular basis
English Language Instructor (08/08 – 12/08)
Sallie Shaw Home Tutoring, Hong Kong
For four months I was employed as a home tutor, teaching English to children and adults in Hong Kong. My main roles were:
· Planning, designing and delivering specialised lessons
· Teaching reading and comprehension, writing, conversation and phonics

While employed as an English Teacher at Kidsedge, an after-school learning centre, my role involved:
