In my role as a solicitor at Buddle Findlay I primarily advised international banks and fund managers that operate in New Zealand. This role required exceptional written and verbal communication skills and demanded excellent time management to meet the needs of multiple clients operating under short time frames.

Corporate Finance Analyst

ANZ Institutional Bank is the largest commercial bank operating in New Zealand. It has long standing lending relationships with the majority of ‘blue chip’ New Zealand companies. As a Corporate Finance Analyst I gained a broad range of corporate finance transaction experience, including:

financial modelling for valuations, mergers, acquisitions and debt capacity;

preparing credit memoranda for transactions;

drafting pitches for clients on acquisition financing, capital structuring, private equity trends and strategic options;

preparing detailed industry reports to assist relationship managers’ industry knowledge and sales pitching; and

reviewing legal and financial due diligence reports in respect of proposed acquisitions.
