Member of 2006 SIFE team which won Nationals and took 2nd at the World Cup in Paris.

- Presented financial literacy classes consisting of Opportunity Cost, Philanthropy, Interviewing Skills, Resume Writing and Checks and Balances to sixth grade students. Upon completion of the six week instruction, I accompanied the students on a trip to the Junior Achievement Center, a mock business community in Des Moines, Iowa. Assisted the students in running their own business for a day with their newfound skills.
Camp Moja Counselor May 2006, 2007, Independence, MO
- Responsible for the care of six handicapped adults during the week of camp, including administering medications, overseeing their safety and assisting them during their participation in various activities including dance, arts/crafts and cooking. In addition, I taught outdoor classes in fishing, paddle boating and canoeing.

- Planned and executed five different summer camps and counseled children ages ten to eighteen. Assisted in planning worship services and led reflections. Taught Yoga classes.

- Responsible for the well-being of the thirty women (national and international) who resided in my hall, which included planning monthly meetings, activities and functions, in addition to meeting their individual needs and requests. National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) Alaska, May – August 2008 Developed advanced kayaking, backpacking and mountaineering skills. Implemented sustainable/environmental “Leave No Trace” camping principles. Became a “Leave No Trace” teacher. Earned credit in Biology, Risk Management and Leadership. |
