My name is Samuel Monahan born 12^th September 1978 England UK . 

      I am 31 years old currently living in the china

      I started paid work when I was 15 at a local sports centre, I was employed as a centre assistant, job roles included life guarding, and cleaning at first, but it was not long before I was helping  to teach children’s swimming lessons as well as sports activities and birthday parties.

      Many of the children that I helped to teach or supervise now work at the same centre, say that I was a good teacher and was always approachable.

      As the years went on I moved my way up through the ranks at work, as well as studying at school and college.  It was not long before I was one of the few staff that could do most job roles, including helping new staff.

      A great deal of my time was working with children aged from 5 – 18 years. I took to this straight away. To date I have over 15 years in teaching swimming, and 12 years teacing sport and fitness.

      I have also help to run before school clubs helping with the childrens fitness, on all levels, like CV （fitness）, balance, co-ordination., catcing etc.

      Out side of work I love to travel, I spent a year back packing around the world - Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Canada, and USA. I worked In new Zealand for about 4 months.  I have also been to China 4 times in the last 12-14 months,

      At school I did not always find it easy, this was mainly due to having dyslexia, but through hard work and help from friends and family I got through and passed .school, college, and university.

       I think I could be a good addition to your work force as I have extended experience with sport and children, and although I am not a school teacher, I have done a 20 hours TELF course , I am hard working, and I have taught sport, to many people , from people just starting to those already very fit. I have also taugh some academic subjects to young teenagers and adults.

I wish to stay in china for a long time to live with my grilfriend. 

      Due to the subjects I have studied myself, some of which are science based which involved some hard study, shows that I can learn new things.

• Have acted as a team leader when needed
• Passed a course on child protection, and have a current CRB.
• Worked my way up through the ranks.
• Have been part of the senior staff team at a sports centre.
• Worked with the NHS on a child obesity programme (age 7-13).
• One of the Head  sports coach’s at a large school.
• Part of the senior staff  at staff trainings
• The main swimming teacher (in the south east) in the government ran top up swimming scheme.
• Have taught first aid and lifeguards in several centres, hotels, and schools.
• Swam the English channel as part of a team for charity in 2007.
