My name is Robert Tuohey; I am an American currently working as the principal and English instructor at the Xingtai No. 1 High School Sino-Canadian Program.
Briefly, my work history is as follows:
- Both my undergraduate and graduate degrees are in educational psychology.
- In the U.S., I worked for three years as a special education teacher (instructing handicapped students).
- For the past sixteen years I have worked teaching English in Asia: four years in Japan, and twelve years in China. I have taught all types of classes (oral, writing, listening, etc), but have specialized in American and English culture and literature for graduate students.
- Regarding writing ability, I have published numerous short stories and articles over the last 20 years. Many of these are available on the internet (simply put my full name in, “Robert T. Tuohey”, into any search-engine, and a list will come up).Or you can take a look at an article that I wrote for Beijing Review: http://www.bjreview.com.cn/06-37-e/expat.htm
The full resume is attached here. More documents can be sent upon request.
If possible, I would like to discuss what terms you can offer me. Please bear in mind, that, having been in Asia this long, I am obviously only interested in a serious, long-term position that can offer both professional and financial rewards.
In short, if you can make me a serious offer, I’m very willing to consider it.
Sincerely, Robert T. Tuohey |
