Major responsibilities and duties for last position in the United Kingdom:
As a data analyst I was responsible for managing a unique project that considerably reduced company costs and increased business efficiency.
The company’s automated billing system was sending out bills to 10,000 customers that we believed had transferred to other energy suppliers. The company was incurring significant costs not only through unnecessary billing to these 10,000 small and medium enterprises but also because it was purchasing unnecessary electricity supplies for them from the electricity distributors.
Working independently, I successfully removed over 5000 lost dormant accounts from the company’s automated billing system saving the company approximately ₤5 million in operating costs. Using a variety of specialist energy industry applications, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel, I programmed the company’s systems ensuring that all of their data and information was correctly aligned. Prior to leaving this role I produced a portfolio of training manuals outlining the project’s processes and various computer systems’ operations. In my previous role as an administrator in the company’s large billing department I acted as a mentor and first-response coach for company new starters as well as performing my normal duties.

My varied career history has enabled me to acquire a diverse array of different skills and living and prospering in a foreign country for the last three years; continuing to work through one of the worst global economic and financial crises that the world has ever seen, demonstrates my ability to be flexible and it also shows my resourcefulness. |
