Interests
Music I am a keen musician and a proficient trombonist. In addition to enjoying listening to music, I gain great pleasure from playing music with others. I also have experience giving instrumental and theoretical music tuition on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, and conducting ensembles.
Literature I am an avid reader. Alongside the enjoyment this brings, it has made me more articulate, brought me into contact with challenging ideas, and given me greater understanding and appreciation of different perspectives.
Travel I am fascinated by other cultures and ways of life and wish to experience these firsthand. I have travelled independently and extensively around Europe and am currently living in China. As I result of this I am excited rather than intimidated by unfamiliar surroundings and am quick to adapt to new environments. |
