  Dear Sir or Madam:

I am seeking a teaching position at your school. I have recently completed the Cambridge CELTA course and am looking forward to put my newly acquired skills to practice. My time spent teaching has reinforced my passion for education and the importance of learning the English language. During my teaching training I have developed vastly and have acquired various techniques for instructing as well as lesson planning and feel well prepared to manage a classroom of my own.

I have previous experience where I was responsible for a large group of children. I was a cabin leader for four consecutive summers where I was responsible for 12 children ranging from ages 6-10. At the weeklong camp I was with the children during the day and night, and had to ensure that they were up and ready in time for breakfast, kept their area clean and were quite and attentive at the appropriate times. I also participated in activities with the children such as crafts and sports. I also volunteered at my high school with the special needs class and gained experience in a classroom setting and maintaining control of an at times challenging group of students, but had the most rewarding results.

I am extremely patient and have a gentle demeanour, I am encouraging to students and allow them to feel comfortable, which is vital in a learning environment. I am a highly organized, responsible and punctual individual, I am dedicated to my work and the progress and success of my students is very important to me. I believe that my previous travel experience and background makes me a highly adaptable person who is open to different cultures.

You can contact me by email if you have any questions or would like to schedule an interview.  I am excited about these fields in education and would be privileged and please to be a part of your school.
