A dedicated and passionate multi-lingual teacher, with a lifelong interest in the Far East and its languages. Experience with English language not only in everyday use, but in its literary and written format, with more than a passing interest in the history and evolution of the language.

Heightened awareness of and responsiveness to cultural diversity and intercultural communication. Developed skills in presenting information, ideas and arguments orally and in writing. Studied Middle Eastern History and culture modules and Arabic Literature modules in addition to Language courses.
Developed an extensive vocabulary, familiar with a number of advanced syntactic structures used in the Arab media, able to translate and summarise texts into English. Able to plan and write extensive essays based on independent research.
Developed first rate teamwork skills through working in small groups to organise and chair debates, plan, carry out and deliver presentations.
Embraced to living and studying in a country with a Middle Eastern culture, in a multiethnic society. Proven ability to integrate into male dominated culture gaining vocabulary specific to the regional dialect through discourse with local people. Gained valuable life skills by travelling extensively during year abroad.
