Objective
My university degree developed my education and strengthened my scientific qualities, as well as giving me an excellent understanding of psychology, it also helped to extend my personal skills. Since leaving university I have worked in gardening and construction, gaining skills and experience in business. It also allowed me to pay off university debts and save money for traveling, in which I raised money for charity by completing the Mongol Rally, navigating through 20 countries, including China. Since studying Chinese along side my degree at University I have had an interest in the language, people and culture of China and hoped to further my knowledge and experience by living and working in China. I have for the last 3 months been taking one on one Chinese Mandarin lessons.

Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, 2005 – 2008.
Bsc Psychology (Hons) 2:2. My studies included social, biological, cognitive, abnormal, forensic psychology, neuropsyphology and data analysis. I also completed a module in Mandarin.

Working alongside my father has given me experience in the management of a medium sized business, and skills in the development of building projects from beginning to completion.

I organized and executed maintenance and landscaping work, acquiring knowledge and skills in plants and garden design, as well as the running of a small business.
Studio School, Cambridge 2005 – 2008
As a tour guide it was my responsibility to ensure multinational students of English have an informative and safe time in extracurricular activities in Cambridge and all around England. Activities involved sightseeing tours, including day and evening activities such as sports and social events.
P n D Employment, Winchester 2004 – 2005
As a Temporary Assistant is was my responsibility to work in a variety of locations such as prisons, hospitals, schools, restaurants, army camps, offices and outdoor companies. Working in a wide variety of environments developed my confidence in adapting to new surroundings and prepare for my gap year travels.
Personal Interests
I am an avid reader, and consider it essential to continuing my education in all subjects as well as maintaining and improving language skills.
I obsessively play tennis and enjoy the competitive and social aspect of the game, taking part in my local club group lessons and matches. Exercise has been very important to me throughout my life and I keep fit with running and weights, as well as regularly competing in organized events such and marathons and triathlons.
I have always been fascinated in other countries and cultures, and have traveled during my gap year and on charity works. In 2006 I cycled from London to Rome to raise money and awareness for the suffering caused by the Arab-Israeli conflict, traveling with up to two hundred other cyclists. In 2010 I drove from England to Mongolia, and raised over £2000 for destitute children. Crossing many remote parts of the world has provided me with unique experiences and insights in to other cultures, this has fueled my desire to learn and experience more.
I have a full clean UK driving and motorcycle license. |
