ENGLISH PROFESSOR 08/2009 to 08/2010
Dae Bul University, Mokpo, Republic of Korea
Developed curriculum, created lesson plans, and taught English to a diverse group of students at this sixteen-year-old educational institution in South Korea. Designed programs to encourage active student participation and skills development in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English in class and amongst themselves.
Highlighted Duties:
§ Designed and taught Freshman and advanced English courses to 500+ Chinese and Korean students; provided appropriate exercises and lab assignments and managed class/student administration and recordkeeping.
§ Collaborated with other department heads and programs to successfully integrate new students and build a strong learning environment at the university.

Yemen–American Language Institute (YALI), U.S. Embassy, Sana’a, Yemen
Directed all daily operations at YALI and managed $3.2M annual budget. Led staff of 35 administrators, 65 English teachers, and 6 media lab clerks in multiple aspects for the instruction of English for 3,000 Yemeni students.
Highlighted Duties:
§ Coordinated school activities with U.S. Embassy officials; designed and implemented new staff contracts.
§ Performed top-to-bottom operational review and implemented staff and student surveys.
§ Planned, designed, forecasted, and tracked YALI budget of $3M+.
Accomplishments:
à Shepherded handover transition from America–Mideast Educational and Training Services (AMIDEAST) management of the YALI program to Yemen College of Middle Eastern Studies.
à Coached and retained 98% of teachers and staff during difficult transition from AMIDEAST.
