2010 to Present
New Dynamic Institute ESL Teacher
In this role I taught all aspects of English, ranging from business English to oral English as well as grammar and vocabulary. In this role I thoroughly prepared my lessons to be both helpful and interesting to the students, all of whom had varying levels of English. I brought great energy and enthusiasm to the job which made the students more confident in a positive learning environment. This position has given me greater experience of a classroom environment and knowledge of how to interact with students and communicate to them clearly the subject matter.
2009-2010
Jianghan University ESL Teacher
In this role I taught English to students in classes of up to 40 students. Outside class I also attended English corners and met students in my office if they needed any extra help with their English and learning.
2008-2009
West Derby School Teaching Assistant
In this role I aided teachers in the classroom by helping prepare lesson plans for Geography GCSE and A level students. My other roles included delivering and evaluating teaching and learning activities and helping pupils who needed extra support to complete tasks. I was relied upon in this role to support both the teacher and student to create a positive learning environment. Through this role I experienced a classroom environment and gained knowledge of the GCSE and A Level syllabus and learnt the standards needed to help teach and foster learning.

Learning how to be thoroughly organized and work concisely towards deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of work, especially when writing and researching my ten thousand word dissertation entitled “The effects of El Nino on the Moche”. In lectures and seminars I have prepared slides on PowerPoint and have given oral presentations in front of large groups of people showing clear communication skills and detailed subject knowledge, which have led to various distinctions amongst my lecturers and peers. Seminars have furthered these skills and I have often taken the lead in group tasks on the course. I have also utilized my computing skills in these subjects using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as using GIS systems.
