TRC Companies, Inc. (Electrical Engineer: April 2005 – December 2007)

Franklin, MA

Worked as protection engineer on substation upgrade and replacement projects.  The most significant were several year long substation replacement projects.  Was responsible for designing and drafting revisions of all protection and control drawings for substation design and upgrade as well as physical drawing updates.  Protection schemes involved transformer differential, distance, overvoltage, overcurrent, transfer trip, and capacitor protection.

National Grid USA, Transmission Operation and Review, Relay Protection (Co-Op, May – August 2002, 2003, 2004)

Held co-op positions in several departments over the course of 3 summers. The most significant accomplishment was the development of a system reliability and performance report that was adopted for internal communication of year-to-date transmission performance.
