Other Skills and Experience
2005-present: While teaching abroad, the use of computer technology in the classroom lead to my learning about software, operating systems, networks, and hardware. I am very familiar with the latest technology in terms of computers, digital cameras, storage devices, data recovery, hardware and its capabilities, and the integration of these technologies in creative and diverse ways to suit business, teaching, and personal needs. This learning was practical and resulted from the necessary use of these technologies in my teaching experiences in Korea and Chinese universities.
Teaching Methodology
I use a combination of the communicative approach supplemented with relevant material from the internet, school, and the latest techniques being promoted in the emerging field of second language acquisition.
Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy hiking, fishing, art, photography, computers and the internet, and love all styles of music. I’m interested in people, culture, and learning new things about the world inside and outside of North America.
Other Work Experience
I also have my own computer business here in Canada named ‘Quik-Fix Computer Service’. I’m available to schools to set up IT networks in addition to teaching duties. |
