About Me.

  I am an enthusiastic and hard-working individual, who is able to work as part of a team as well as on my own initiative, I take pride in my performance and excel in any tasks that are given to me.

  As you can see from my education and employment history below, I have no formal qualification in teaching, although I have spent a great deal of my adult life caring for others and have two years work experience volunteering at my local primary school. Since coming to China I have spent time teaching ESL to children aged 6-15 years, specialising in Oral English. I also spend a considerable amount of time with my nephew, Evan, who is six years old and have been a huge part of his life since he was born.

  I have more than a strong desire to work in this field, as well as the temperament and determination I feel it takes to succeed. I am focused on making ESL teaching my career and feel I am very capable of doing so. English is my first and main language, my mother tongue, and I have spent 32 years wholly immersed in the English language, therefore I feel I am adequately qualified to apply for the position of English Language Teacher.

  I also have extensive knowledge of various important computer programmes including Microsoft Word, Office, Power point and Excel which could prove to be very useful in the modern school environment.
