5+ years of Kindergarten teaching 5+ years working with toddlers and infants Relationship Builder/ Extrovert and Optimistic/ Teaching/Mentoring Skills I'm a quality, out-spoken, high-energy driven leader, who loves working with children. I consistently focus on helping children gain fundamentals of education, while using fun innovative techniques for English efficiency and accuracy. Since I’ve started teaching, I've helped children learn the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic at early ages. Throughout my experience teaching, I’ve always provided a fun, loving, and peaceful atmosphere, while mentoring, caring, and teaching each and every student. Teaching and Mentoring Experience Pre-School for us, 2007-2011 I tutored and helped babies with their phonetic sounds of English. I fed and set up infants, toddlers, and children’s meals on a daily basis. Carefully watched and recorded behavior patterns. I cleaned and dressed infants and toddlers. I implemented brain building techniques with puzzles, fruits, and even colors. Read stories to children on a daily basis. McKinley Elementary School, 2003- 2006 I taught first grade boys and girls basic reading, writing, math, and spelling. I organized and coordinated field trips with parents, venues, staff and transportation staff. I chaperoned children during recess and during the after-school program. I worked with developing children’s oral speech and conversational speech in reading labs. I sent progress reports to parents every six weeks, so they knew their child’s development. Asian Pacific Psychological Services, 2000-2003 I counseled and mentored children who came from low-income, single-parent, and drug abusive homes. I developed solutions for parents and children at the end of each session. We investigated families by showing up unexpectedly to their homes to see how the family used the resources given to them. We set up dinners and charity events for both the parents and the children during Christmas and Thanksgiving. I helped low-income families obtain government resources.
