Recent Work In China:

 I worked as a history teacher in an International school in Shanghai. Currently I am teaching English in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China. I have taught Business English, TOEFL and IELTS in China as well.

My Education:

       Baccalaureate degree in Liberal Arts, major in Sociology 1992 University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado,USA. My work experience is not limited to teaching. I have worked in Sales for major multi national companies like Marriott and Tyco.

       09/09 until 07/10: I worked as a lecturer of English for foundation year students. I taught grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking and writing to University students. I have also taught private off site groups through the University such as Banks or NGO’s anything from conversational English to English for business purposes and English for Human Resources professionals.

Norton University, Street 19, Phnom Penh, Cambodia 01/09 until 07/07.

       I have worked as a Listening and Speaking lecturer with year two and year three University students. I made up tests, assigned homework, created assignments and managed class curriculum and student’s overall learning experiences. I also taught Culture Studies and substituted for other subjects when needed.

ESL Teacher, Pusan, South Korea, Herald School from 05/08-09/08

       I worked in the classroom with children aged 6- 17 and also with adults performing in a variety of different functions. I taught phonetics to younger students and also Business English to company workshops in the Pusan shipyards. I was a TOEFL class instructor and also did workshops on academic writing and grammar for select students.

ESL Teacher, Taipei Taiwan 1994 and 2002

       I worked in Taipei two separate times. In 1994 I worked for a small language institute called Read and Play teaching to younger children and when I returned to Taiwan in 2002 I mostly tutored adults in Business English and conversational English.

Social Studies Teacher and Recreational Teacher, Alternative Homes for Youth,      Lakewood, Colorado USA from 1991 until 1993. I worked with at risk youth as part of my baccalaureate thesis and then continued on full time after graduation. Students were aged 13-18 and were in a therapeutic group home setting.
