Video editor for Inflight Television International Ltd. Work involves Editing and duplicating News media for airlines. Updating, editing and writing copy for company website as/when required. Working closely with clients, updating and changing content at short notice. Some overseas travel to promote company at industry exhibitions. Report writing and research for clients.
March 2009 – January 2010: West Australian Newspaper, Perth, Australia. Publisher.
Work for West Australia’s most popular newspaper as a publisher. Duties involved quality control of publications, Production report writing and data collating. Working closely with printers to ensure publications run at optimum productivity. Job involved administrational duties including sending out back copy requests and file room maintenance. Working to strict deadlines as part of the publishing team.
January 2008 – February 2009: Inflight Productions, London. Video Editor.
News editor for leading inflight entertainment company. Role involved editing and duplicating two daily news broadcasts for British Airways flights as well as liaising with colleagues and clients on edit specifications. Working unaided on nightshifts and always working to a tight deadline.
September 2006 – January 2007: Maverick Television. Production assistant.
Worked on the filming of television series focusiung on young people from disadvantaged backgrounds transition to adulthood. Working with and looking after the young subjects during the filming. Worked closely with the child-psychologist who presented the programme.
April 2002 - November 2002: University of Surrey, Guildford. Administrator
Administrator in the University Nursing faculty. The job was focused on organising work placements for University undergraduates on the nursing programme as required for their practical studies. The department was the first port of call for students with concerns about their placements. Job involved working closely with students to ensure the students got the best placement for their needs. My duties covered every aspect, from liasing with placement facilitators and arranging the placements to answering phone queries and updating the database as well as helping students.
January 2002 - April 2002: OFSTED, Woking. Administrator
Administration assistant for the Office for Standards in Education. My role was to process applications of people intending to work with children. Main duties were database work and phone enquiries.
ABOUT ME:
I have a keen interest in travel and spent 2009/early 2010 travelling from europe via Russia and Asia to Australia where I ended up living. I make music in my spare time and have played the guitar since an early age. A great team player that thrives in a fast paced working environment. An excellent communicator. I rise to new challenges. |
