PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Camp Counselor, Camp Kodiak, Parry Sound, ON (June ‘11 – August ‘11)
· Mentored and lived with campers aged 3-16 with disabilities
· Lead and organized group-based activities
Tree Planter, Next Generation Reforestation, Beaverlodge, AB (May ‘10 to August ‘10)
· Planted trees at a rate of $0.10-$0.16 per tree and mentored rookies early in the season
· Worked one month in British Columbia and two months in Northern Alberta, four days on and one day off.
ESL Instructor, TEFL International, Quepos, Costa Rica (Novemeber ‘09 – December ‘09)
· Created and instructed English Language lessons for local Costa Ricans aged 12-65.
· After TEFL Certification course, private tutored a Doctor and his daughter 2 hours a day for 2 weeks.

AWARDS AND CERTIFICATES
Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL): Completed a 4-week, 120 hour course in Costa Rica during the 2009 Fall Semester. First half was in-class learning and second half was teaching practice to locals
PADI Open Water Diver License: Completed 15 hours of in-class, 10 hours of in-pool, and 5 hours of bottom-time to attain scuba diving license
Dean’s List 2008: Awarded for achieving an overall average of 87% in the 2007/08 school year
