·         I completed my first semester of student teaching at Florence Hallock Public School in Edmonton in the winter of 2011.  In the fall of 2011, from September-December, I volunteered to work as a teacher’s assistant with my mentor teacher at this school.

·         I volunteered with the International Centre in 2011, for which I planned and led numerous field trips in and around Edmonton for international students.

·         The school of counselling theory that I was most attracted to was cognitive-behaviourism, but I have most experience in humanistic counselling.

·         My largest essay was on the historical relationship between the reforms of Zhu Yuanzhang and the Opium Wars.

·         I took a specialization course in grammar.

·         This is the standard certification course for teaching English overseas.

·         I have a Black Belt in Taekwondo, and have studied Judo, Capoiera, and kickboxing.

·         I have acted in five plays, eight short films, and a commercial, from 2000-2011.

·         My photography was printed in Notebook Magazine, an Edmontonian publication, in 2007.

·         I studied Chinese in university for two years and lived in China and Taiwan for about the same amount of time, so my Mandarin is acceptable.

·         I have made nearly two thousand edits to Wikipedia, mostly related to Chinese history.
