· Volunteered as an assistant during philosophy sessions in a Primary school.
· Assisted my lecturer in running the after school philosophy session.
· Was able to use my experience from China, along with the content I had learned at university, to reach out to underachieving and misbehaved children.
June 2011 – August 2011 English Teacher Optimum English China
· Summer Internship teaching English as a Foreign Language in LiaoCheng, China.
· Worked with different age groups, from 5 to 18 years of age.
· Worked with different levels of English speaking from ABC level to conversation classes.
· Learnt interesting and effective teaching skills in a foreign environment, within my own classroom.
· Adapted to an unfamiliar surroundings, while developing my existing skills in new and exciting situations.

· Sales advisor, selling insurance to the new students as they moved into their halls of residence.

· Managed to sell to both student and parents, in difficult circumstances.
· Developed valuable sales tactics, which I have been able to use in many aspects of life.

· Survived in the infamous Next Sale, including the 5am shift.
· Worked on price checking and packing at the tills.
· Took on numerous tasks, including recovery, tidying the shop floor as the day went on, replenishing stock and merchandising.
· Gained valuable customer service experience after dealing with rushed and disgruntled customers.
June –August 2008 Nursery Assistant North Harrow Nursery
· Volunteered at a local nursery, working with children aged 1-5.
· As most of the children did not have English as a first language, I was able to develop both my verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
· Again had to work with children, parents and staff in a range of, often difficult or sensitive, situations.
June 2008- November 2008 Volunteer St. Luke’s Hospice Charity Shop
· Worked in a local charity shop to gain some retail experience, and to give back to the community.
· Divided my time between the shop floor and the stockroom.
· Was trained on the till, and also in pricing methods.
· Because of the multi-ethnic surrounding area, I was again able to make use of my knowledge of several languages, however basic.
6th-30th June 2006 Work Experience Park Lane Primary School
· Teaching Assistant, helping out both the teachers in the running of the lessons, and the children with their class work, which children aged between 3 and 12.
· Dealt with Parents as well as teachers and children, allowing me to adapt my communication skills accordingly.
· Updated my ICT skills with the use of modern technology while assisting their ICT lessons.
· Have been back many times over the past 5 years, enabling me to further enhance my acquired skills.
I N T E R E S T S A N D A C H I E V E M E N T S
· An active member of many societies at university, helping with the organisation and running of many key events, such as Single handedly organised a successful evening of service in a Bupa Care Home for charity week.
· Keen interest in cooking, done for both business and pleasure.
· , Strong passion for dance and music; have learnt Bollywood dances and performed with others across the UK, through Angels Dance Academy.
· Love for cultural arts, especially films, along with music and literature.
· Actively take part in charity work for many different organisations.
